Zegna Baruffa Lane Borgosesia, an Italian premium fabric supplier, has outlined four color trends for Autumn/Winter 2010-2011 using premium fabrics.
Color trends
Chic calm
From light to dark the blue hue catches your attention in its soft way. It brings with it pride for its way of seizing the day, and is often used alone and in large surfaces. It has a poetic approach to life, where calm and chic melts together and bring out a smooth and dusty surface.
The monochrome blue colours come in both warm and cold shades that together make a dazzling blue universe. A universe rich in brilliance, solid and smoky appearance that leads your mind to think of ancient brilliant blue glazed mosaics, voluminous blue prehistoric furniture fabrics and the 1950th smoky and dim coloured fashion.
Gloomy atmosphere
The reddish colour palette takes the vintages wallpaper colours in to modern time in collaboration with bright pink colours. The colours represent strength with its bold deep and dark red hues that lure the observant viewer in to temptational wonder. The red colours slowly movement into the lighter orange shades gives highlight to the dark and gloomy atmosphere of brown. With a hint of light purple the colour palette is brought to another level which contains elements of luminous sunsets, before twilight appears in the forest, and the magic reds wrap you and take you deep into the forest.
Sophisticated pride
The fearless greens are loud and not afraid of taking on attention. Being very independent the green palette proudly shows of the acid yellow side of its personality. A sophisticated character that contain both soft solid loyalty as well as strong eye-catching seductive colours. A split personality that is perfect for both one-coloured fashion as to rich textured garments with splendid motifs. From soft almost suede flannel to thin smooth cashmere surfaces the green palette is multi functional for daytime use, lasting into the late night party. The colours for the pallet is picked up from the winter plants and there stages of life where they turn from colourful in bloom to simple green coloured bushes before loosing their leafs and becoming brown crooked branches.

The icy natural shades are filled with pureness. The colours sweep you into a peaceful stat of mind which gives you an elegant appearance.
Like when the sun reflects in ice, different colours are born intercepting from the surroundings, and so are the natural palette created. Rich in different greys, going from icy white to a foggy dark grey, the palette is with contrasts. From small brittle mushrooms to heavy stones the palette is in harmony, all living side by side in the universe of life.
