A dystuffs supplier for textile and leather industries, DyStar recently announced its decision to close down its plant located at Krakatau Industrial Estate in Cilegon, Indonesia.
DyStar said the decision is a result of months of evaluation and the plant will cease production at the end of March 2012.
The plant currently produces reactive dyes and supplies to both the domestic and export markets. The company will transfer production of the affected products to other plants in Asia, and will ensure that there will be no disruption to the supply chain for its customers.
The company noted that fair compensation will be made to employees affected by the closure of the plant, and it will follow all the regulations and procedures required by Indonesian law.
