Elmar Witten from the Industrievereinigung verstärkte Kunststoffe in Frankfurt, Germany also presented market and market development for composites in Europe.
In addition, more than 100 individual lectures were presented in the section "New Developments in Fibers" (including bicomponent fibers and nano-technologies) during the whole congress, with an opening presentation by Mr Omatsuzawa from the Japan Chemical Fibers Association in Tokyo on the overview of the development of environmentally conscious technologies and textile products in Japan.
