The Taipei Innovative Textile Application Show (TITAS) will unfold at the Taipei World Trade Center Exhibition Hall I during October 14-16 this year , providing an ideal platform for the sourcing of functional textiles in Asia.
The organizers, Taiwan Textile Federation and Taiwan External Trade Development Council, expect to see more than 300 companies attending the event. Buyers from the US, Europe, China and Hong Kong have already registered to visit the show.
Green textiles will be the highlight of this year's TITAS. The 2010 fall/winter season in the trend area will reflect the technological, humanitarian and eco-friendly thoughts in modern life. The design philosophy was to create a sustainable life cycle showcasing how industry and nature can co-exist harmoniously, according to the organizers.
On display included an array of green textiles, such as recycled polyester chips from Far Eastern, recycled PET chips from Lealea, recycled polyester filament yarn from Nan Ya and recycled filament yarn from Formosa Chemicals.
