Hohenstein India Pvt Ltd will hold two interactive seminars on November 14 and 16 in Coimbatore and Mumbai respectively, in view of a growing demand for eco friendly textiles and hence the increase in interest for Oeko-Tex certification amongst the Indian garment exporters and raw material suppliers along the supply chain.

The seminars will provide comprehensive information on the Oeko-Tex testing and certification procedures, the testing criteria and limit values as well as the impact of Oeko Tex certification on international business. The events will also highlight other existing legislations in the USA and Europe, which have to be complied by the exporters. Quality assurance representatives from all stages of textile production, buying agents and their suppliers can participate in these events.

The Oeko-Tex label indicates to interested end users the additional benefit of tested safety for skin-friendly clothing, home textiles and other textile articles. It also serves as a marketing tool to market textile and apparel products to Europe and the USA, since it incorporates the requirements of the European legislation as well as the US laws.
